FAQ

1. How often should I have my dog groomed?

It will depend on how long you would like to have your dog’s coat.
For a long coat we recommend every 2-4 weeks. For a medium, 4-6 weeks, and for a short, every 6-8 weeks.
Brushing and combing daily is necessary to help keep your dog’s coat healthy and spread natural oils to promote healthy skin. Having your dog groomed frequently benefits their health!

2. What services do you provide?

Every dog is in a different situation, so they should not be treated as one-size-fits-all.
Our services are divided by the type of your pet’s need for a bath. All of the services include:

*Bath with warm water, chromotherapy, and high-quality products; *Nail dremel & file; *Ear cleaning; *Blow dry with a happy hoodie to reduce noise discomfort; *Feet & sanitary trim; *Nose & paw pads moisturizing; *Bandana; *Haircut (when applied)

* Chromoterapy has many benefits, especially for symptoms of anxiety, reduce stress, and many other conditions. The blue light has a pacifying effect on the nervous system encouraging great relaxation.*

When booking, you will need to choose one that better fits your dog’s needs. They are:

** Standard – Regular bath for dogs that are naturally dirty
** Deep Clean – Intended for dogs with heavy dirt from beach, hiking, mud or alike
** Sensitive – For dogs with skin concerns
** Deshed – Intended for double coated dogs
** Hidralux – A deep moisturizing treatment for the coat and skin

3. How can I book an appointment?

You have the flexibility and autonomy to schedule your pet’s appointment when it is best for you. Through our website, click on Book Now, and you will be redirected to our calendar.
Once you are there you can choose a date and time that works best for you, and also which service suits your pup.

4. What should I expect from a grooming appointment?

Once you booked the appointment, you will be reminded with 5 and 2 days prior the appointment by text or e-mail, and you will need to confirm or decline, it if something came up. On the day of the appointment, the groomer will inform their ETA, and text you when they get there. You will go over about how you would like the haircut to be done, and when they are finished, you will be texted saying your pup is ready.

5. Why mobile?

Mobile grooming allows us to be one on one, cage free and have less distractions. We have the freedom to truly customize the experience for each individual pup.

6. Why does mobile grooming cost more?

There are many factors that contribute to the increased price, aside from gas prices, high-quality products, and van maintenance, we provide a luxury unmatched service every time. We come to you and once your pup enters our van, we cater to them during the entire process. Your pups are worked on from start to finish without ANY distractions. Being curbside and one on one limits the amount of pets we can groom each day which also contributes to the increase in cost.

7. Do I need to be home for my pet’s grooming?

No, yet another benefit of using a mobile groomer! After the first visit and we are able to agree on your dog’s style of haircut, we are able to provide latchkey services. As long as we are provided with the necessary key/code to get and leave your pet, latchkey is always available.

8. Can you come to my office?

Yes, as long as there is sufficient parking we can go to your home or office!

9. How does the wait-list work?

We work on a rotational schedule, meaning our books are always full. When a current client on our rotation no longer needs our services (ie. moving, pet passing, etc.) we are able to fill that spot. Depending on the area, time slot, frequency and grooming time available we are able to find a fit using the information we ask from you. The more you let us know the better we are able to accommodate when a spot becomes available.

10. Why do you recommend pets to be on a recurring cycle?

We are dedicated to helping you maintain your pup’s coats properly. Once we groom your pet we give you guidance on how often they may need to be groomed and tips on maintaing their coat at home. It is proven that dogs who are groomed on a regular schedule view grooming as routine and part of their life rather than a punishment which can cause pets to become fearful, unruly, or aggressive for their grooming. Regular grooming is essential to healthy skin and coat while also preventing mats from forming.

11. Do you require vaccines to be up to date?

Yes, in the state of California dogs are by law required to be up to date on their rabies vaccination. We must see proof of the vaccination along with the expiration date before your pet’s first grooming. It is the responsibility of the owner to update us with their pet’s vaccinations.

12. What payment types do you take?

We accept all major credit cards, Zelle, cash and checks.

13. Can I stay with my pet?

Due to safety factors and insurance reasons, neither the client nor their children may enter the grooming van during the pet’s grooming. We are happy to show you the van prior to your pet’s groom but pets are calmer and better behaved for grooming without their family present. Your pet’s safety is our top priority, working with sharp objects and wiggly creatures requires our undivided attention.

14. How long does the groom take?

Depending on your pet and their individual needs, grooms normally take 1-2 hours and for larger pups about 3 hours. We work at every dog’s individual pace, this along with traffic, is why we ask for a grace period of 30 minutes before and after your pet’s scheduled appointment (ie. appointment is at 2, you should expect us to arrive 1:30-2:30). We will always do our best to inform you if we are running ahead or behind of schedule as soon as possible.

15. Do you use our water or electric during the groom?

No. Our state of the art van is completely self powered with electricity, air condition and warm water.

16. What is your policy on matting?

We thankfully do not run in to much matting since we work with our clients to maintain their pups at home and require them to be on a recurring schedule. We do not perform excessive “de-matting”. It is dangerous, painfull and stressfull for the pet. We recommend shaving down and sticking to a routine grooming schedule. Matting besides being painful for your pet, can cause health risks, cut off circulation and can make them not like the grooming process; de-matting is even more uncomfortable. Hair grows back, but the trust your pet will have in us may not if you insist in causing them such discomfort.

17. Do you use muzzles?

Owner MUST inform if your pet bites, has bitten, is aggressive, unpredictable and/or has any other behavioral issues. We reserve the right to muzzle any dog for their safety and ours. Muzzling does not harm your pet.
We will make every attempt to groom uncooperative pets, but we may not be able to complete grooming on pets that pose a threat to themselves or our groomers. If grooming your pet puts either them or us at risk we will stop the groom and refer you to a groomer at a vet.

18. Do you offer a multiple pet discount?

Yes, we do offer a multiple pet discount.

19. What is your cancellation policy?

Cancelations/rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours prior to the day of your scheduled appointment. Failure to provide this notice results in a 50% charge of the service, when done at the day of the appointment, and 25% of the service if done 24 hours before. We offer a 15 minute courtesy window when we arrive for your pet’s appointment. New clients that late cancel or no show to their pet’s first appointment will not be eligible for future appointments. We thank everyone for their cooperation and understanding as this helps our business run efficiently.

20. How do I cancel my appointment?

You can cancel your appointment through the text you got the confirmation or calling/ texting our phone number (650) 866-9516. Remember to do it until 2 days prior the appointment date to avoid the fee.
